Quick Start

This guide gets you from zero to your first interaction with ParyonUSD.
What you need
- A CashTokens-compatible wallet with WalletConnect support
- Some BCH for collateral and transaction fees
Step 1: Get a wallet
ParyonUSD connects to your wallet via WalletConnect. The recommended wallet is Cashonize — it has the best support for CashTokens, including full display of loan details and staking receipts.
Other compatible wallets include Paytaca, Selene, and Electron Cash (requires a WalletConnect plugin). However, these wallets may not display all ParyonUSD token metadata correctly.
If using Brave browser, you may need to disable Brave Shields for the ParyonUSD site to ensure WalletConnect works correctly.
Step 2: Get BCH
You need BCH in your wallet to use ParyonUSD. If you don’t have any, you can acquire BCH through exchanges or peer-to-peer platforms. For borrowing, the BCH serves as your collateral. For staking or redeeming, you’ll need PUSD tokens (which are obtained by borrowing or buying on a DEX like Cauldron).
Step 3: Connect to the app
- Open the ParyonUSD app
- Click Connect Wallet in the top navigation
- Select your wallet from the WalletConnect modal
- Approve the connection in your wallet
Once connected, the dashboard shows your current positions: active loans, stakes, and redemptions.

Step 4: Choose your action
Want to borrow PUSD? Go to Borrow and deposit BCH as collateral. You’ll choose how much to borrow and what interest rate to pay. See the Borrowing guide for details.
Want to earn yield? Go to Stake and deposit PUSD into the Stability Pool. You’ll earn BCH from interest payments and liquidation profits. See the Staking guide for details.
Want to exchange PUSD for BCH? Go to Redeem and enter the amount of PUSD to convert. See the Redeeming guide for details.
Tips
- Start small — Create a small loan first to understand the mechanics before committing significant capital.
- Watch your liquidation price — When borrowing, keep your LTV well below the maximum. A lower LTV gives you more room for BCH price drops.
- Think about your interest rate — A rate that’s too low exposes you to redemptions. Read the Borrowing guide to understand the tradeoffs.
- Understand the lock period — Staked PUSD is locked until the next epoch (~10 days). Don’t stake funds you may need soon.
